Shoulder and Knee Pads
Shoulder pads probably came out the best, since they were the simplest to make. I once again used pepakure with cardstock paper, then to hard i took a different aproach. Most people would say use thin layers of wood glue to get a bit of a structure on your peice of cosplay. I decided to experiment and use multiple, more thicker layers. It came out really good for a smaller peice of armour. they are practically plastic. i have not resined these at all. I am not planning too either, a bit of bondoing and snading and they should be good to go!
The knee pads came along very well, though i do not have fully updated photos at the moment you can see them in my upcoming video where i talk about them, but for now, here it it is. In the photo's below you can see that they are just flat designs, i made custom to fit my knees. I did this because i didnt like the pepakura file that i had already tried making on my own. So i took the design, used part of a circular juice container (cardboard as well) for the circular front. The car board gives it some bulk and holds the shaoe together, i bonded it with hot glue and have resined most of it, until i ran out of hardner. I will be finishing these and have photos up soon.
